Mr. Walker M. Jagoe, the "Professor of Hot Mix", founded W.M. Jagoe Company in 1921 and established the first Hot Mix Asphalt plant in the state of Texas in 1923.
In 2008 Jagoe-Public Company merged with J. Lee Milligan, Inc. to become 100% employee owned.
Jagoe-Public Company is a General Contractor specializing in highway construction, reconstruction, and maintenance. We also contract for Government, Residential, and Commercial Site Projects performing bridge construction, utility construction, sub-grade stabilization, Hot Mix Asphalt and concrete pavement, and various other construction.
Jagoe-Public Company currently operates one plant in Denton County and another in Wise County. Our main facility and offices are located in Denton, Texas.
